Old Montreal
Quaint shops, cobblestone roads, and delicious smells tempting you at every turn, this neighborhood is the heart of the city’s personality. Enjoy street performances, dine at an outdoor cafe, or turn back the calendar with a horse-drawn carriage ride.
First Timers’ Orientation
This isn’t exactly a site to see in Montreal but it is a must-do if you’re attending the ACCE conference for the first time. Here you’ll learn about tips to making the most of your first conference, insider information on sessions, and what those ribbons mean on everyone’s badges. Plus you’ll meet a whole lot of great people.
Jean-Talon Market
If you think the flavor of a city is best tasted in its food, you’ll love this open-air market. With a vast selection of decadent cheeses, fresh veggies, exotic spices, and hand-made chocolates, you’re bound to find something to feast on. Even though it’s a popular spot for tourists, many of the shoppers are local. It’s a great place to meet a few Montrealers, who are very proud of their town and happy to share its best with you.
Montreal Botanical Gardens
Whether you have only two hours or the better part of a day, this lovely place makes for an ideal stroll and get away from the hustle and bustle of convention. This 185-acre area is home to a Japanese Zen garden of Bonsai trees, a rose garden, and a poisonous plants area, among others.
